Maximizing Safety by Minimizing Risks Before, During, and After Surgery
Every surgery comes with a certain level of risk. Our goal is to minimize those risks as much as possible. To do this, we:
- Perform a pre-anesthetic examination of your pet, followed by blood work to check their liver and kidney function
- Connect your pet to an IV catheter so they can receive warmed fluids to maintain their hydration and blood pressure
- Assign a highly trained veterinary technician to monitor your pet’s temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and other vitals throughout the surgery with the aid of our advanced monitoring equipment
- Administer pain relief medication before, during, and after surgery (we also typically send owners home with pain medication)
- Provide pet owners with detailed home care instructions at the time of discharge
